During Monday's Met Gala, the "Kardashians" star spoke with Variety on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art about her upcoming role in Season 12 of FX's "American Horror Story."

Kardashian revealed in April that she and 'AHS' veteran Emma Roberts would co-star in the most recent episode of the horror series.

According to reports, Kardashian will play a "fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role," but she was mum on the specifics on Monday.

Reactions to the news that Kardashian had been cast in "AHS" were conflicting. Patti LuPone and Sharon Stone, two legendary actors, were not shy in sharing their thoughts.

On "Watch What Happens Live," LuPone asked Kardashian, rhetorically, "What are you doing with your life?"

LuPone, who recently appeared in Ari Aster's "Beau Is Afraid," is a longtime Ryan Murphy collaborator who also appears in Season 11 of "AHS."

Stone noticed LuPone's Kardashian slam on social media and quickly jumped in. "It's not brain surgery, but we treasure our art." "We studied, we suffered, and we continue to suffer as a result," she wrote on Instagram. "Ten thousand hours; it's a thing."

Following the comments, Kardashian stated that "AHS" will allow her to "step outside of her comfort zone and try something new and grow."

When asked if she was taking acting classes for the programme on Monday, Kardashian replied, "Of course."

The reality TV celebrity participated in several TV episodes as herself, including "2 Broke Girls," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Last Man Standing."

She also appeared in the TV shows "Beyond the Break," "CSI: NY," and "Drop Dead Diva," as well as the film "PAW Patrol: The Movie."
