Three new live-action Star Wars movies are coming, according to Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy, who made the announcement today at the Studio Showcase at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023.

James Mangold, Dave Filoni, and Emmy and Academy Award-winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy are directing the films.

The new movie directed by James Mangold will reference the original trilogy.

The New Republic will be the subject of Dave Filoni's series, which will wrap up the interrelated tales presented in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ programmes.

In the sequel to Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey as she founds a new Jedi Order.

This movies are actually a result of what George Lucas said many years ago, which was that he designed Star Wars to move forward and backward along a mythological timeframe.

According to Kennedy, they are currently attempting to stretch that chronology by creating a rich future, enhancing the present, and delving far into the past to tell our tales.

Get ready to share the popcorn and keep an eye on StarWars.com for more information on these movies.
