Keanu Reeves spoke only 380 words in John Wick 4. Shoots through the charts.
How much did he say in his role?
Keanu Reeves repeated his role of John Wick. In the final segment of the franchise, there isn’t much to speak for the “retired hitman.” The Wall Street Journal counted all the words and learned that during the whole time span of the movie, John Wick spoke very less. Although, the film is packed with action and eye-catching violence.
John Wick: Chapter 4 lasts for 169 minutes and Keanu Reeves says only 380 words throughout the film. John Wick franchise was directed by Chad Stahelski.
According to The Wall Street Journal, “In the first installment, clocking in at 101 minutes, Mr. Reeves said a total of 484 words.” “With a run time of 169 minutes, the fourth movie pushes three hours but features just 380 words by Wick. About 10% of them are featured in the movie’s trailer, which makes the hero seem almost chatty; Wick says more in that 2.5 minute clip than he does in the first 25 minutes of the movie itself.”
Wick doesn’t have a lot of dialogue, according to the director, Stahelski. “Mr. Reeves stripped out roughly half the dialogue written for his character in the initial script.”

The longest line that John Wick has ever said was in a scene with co-star Hiroyuki Sanada, who plays Shimazu Koji where Wick says, “You and I left a good life behind a long time ago, my friend.”
The Director for the series, Chad Stahelski, is a stunt veteran, which is one of the reasons why the franchise is action-packed with full of eye-pleasing vulgar content. Although there is lack of dialogue for the star, the audience are responding exceptionally well to the movie at the box office. The film opened to a franchise record of $73.5M with a global debut of $137.5M.
