Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate moved from Jail to House Arrest.
The Internet Star, Andrew Tate, won an appeal Friday to replace his detention in jail with house arrest. He had spent three months in jail after doing his time in a Romanian Jail. He was charged with Human trafficking, organized crime, and rape.
Tate has already appealed a decision from a judge to extend his arrest for a fourth time, last week. The Bucharest Court of Appeal acted in favor of Tate’s appeal. This allowed him to serve under home arrest for 30 days, told Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for DIICOT, Romania’s anti-organized crime agency.
According to recent sources, Andrew and Tristan Tate and two Romanian women were arrested together in December. They won the appeal, and all four will be under house arrest until April 29.
A spokesperson spoke on behalf of the brothers that they are ecstatic to announce the Romanian judicial system approved Andrew and Tristan Tate’s appeal against last week’s extension decision.” He thanked Tate’s fans for their great support in releasing the brothers and reiterated his claim that the charges against him were fake. The communications director for Tate, Mateea Petrescu, spoke to the reporters outside of the prison. She explained how the court now sees the brothers as no visible threat to society. The brothers remained optimistic and strong during their incarceration; according to her, the Romanian authorities treated them fairly.
All four of them, including the brothers and two women were ordered to stay inside the buildings where they live, until they have judicial permission to leave.
How did it start?
The Romanian authorities began investigating Tate, 36, in April 2022. He was accused of holding two women captive, including an American citizen. He was detained later in Bucharest, Romania, with charges on human trafficking. They identified six victims, news outlets reported.
His victims were subjected to “acts of physical violence and mental coercion,” DIICOT said in a statement, according to multiple sources. For every 30 days, from the end of December until Friday, the court extended the 30-day sentence of Tate for an additional 30 days.
The judge has denied his request each time Tate appealed the decision. However, he has shifted to house arrest for 30 days.
